Account Coordinator - 1 year term

Location: Ottawa, ON

The Account Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships, will be responsible for supporting the day to day management, execution and activation of corporate partnership accounts.  This individual will provide exceptional service to corporate partners which will ensure complete delivery of all OSEG commitments, drive powerful marketing activations, and build long-lasting relationships with our partners. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages approximately 30 client relationships; executes partner contract deliverables, liaises day to day with key client stakeholders, develops and supports execution of partner activations, provides on-going status and update reports as requested, etc.
  • Supports the development of (and manages the execution of) processes that ensure complete and effective fulfillment of corporate partnership accounts, including; partnership promotions, game-day activities, community programs, media asset fulfillment, ticket/hospitality requirements, and development of recap reports.
  • Manages hard cost tracking for corporate partnership accounts which includes ensuring purchase orders are completed for all third party vendor transactions. 
  • As requested, may assist the Business Development team in achievement of defined revenue targets with specific focus on playing a support role in partnership renewals and existing partner upsells.
  • Analyzes partner activation performance, makes sound strategic conclusions and communicates them through the presentation of post season reports.
  • Works with internal stakeholders (Marketing/Events/Digital/Analytics/Communications and Ticketing) to ensure effective fulfillment and execution for all assigned accounts.
  • Liaises with suppliers/contractors on all partner-related programs and initiatives, i.e. signage, website, events, promotional trips, hotel needs, tickets, merchandise, player appearances, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, business, sports administration or other related discipline;
  • Minimum 2-5 years applied experience;
  • Partner fulfillment/servicing experience (corporate or agency side) a definite asset;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong written and communication skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills - skillful at building and fostering relationships;
  • Computer skills – high level of proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.;

Bilingual Communications Specialist / Spécialiste en communications bilingue

We are looking for a bilingual Communications Specialist, with a love of sports, to play an active role on our communications’ team.  You will help members of the media do their jobs more efficiently by providing information and story ideas, facilitating interview requests and proactively pitching stories.

You will also serve team operations and OSEG administration by translating written materials, serving as proof reader, organizing press conferences/other events and helping to execute all communications activities associated with game and event presentation, as required.

Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills in English and French are mandatory for this role. Experience in corporate communications and project management are assets for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare media game notes for sports teams.
  • Write and distribute news releases.
  • Translate news releases and other materials written in English.
  • Assist with game-day media relations.
  • Organize and host news conferences.
  • Adhere to the communications guidelines and requirements as outline by the leagues in which our teams play
  • Be a primary contact for media and facilitate interviews.
  • Attend team practices and assist with media relations.
  • Research, write content for annual team media guides and program booklets.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with sports team players, coaches and executive staffs.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute story ideas.
  • Build and foster relationships with media; grow the media database for all OSEG properties.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related discipline;
  • Experience as an intern or specialist, preferably with a sports team, in media relations and/or marketing communications;
  • Impeccable communication skills (spoken and written) in English and French;
  • Thorough understanding of CFL football, hockey and soccer;
  • Exceptional writing/proof-reading skills in English and French;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task;

  • Oversee receiving product: report shortages and overages to Manager
  • Oversee the shipping of product: sort, count, label inventory as it is received

  • Perform stock consolidation to improve inventory performance and accuracy
  • Participate in annual inventory count, as needed
  • Respond to stock issues in the stadium store locations and kiosks

OSEG Foundation 50/50 Seller

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Job Summary

The OSEG Foundation is looking to hire high-energy motivated sellers to join our 50/50 Electronic Raffle sales team. 50/50 raffles take place at all REDBLACKS home games, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the jackpot and the remaining 50% is directed to the OSEG Foundation to support ongoing charitable efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Actively sell, handle and distribute 50/50 tickets within TD Place either at a stationary kiosk or as a roaming sales representative during and prior to REDBLACKS home games.

HVAC Operator Part-Time

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Part-Time HVAC Operator is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all equipment, devices and parts of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heaters during, before and after games and events.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Part-Time HVAC Operator is responsible for:

  • Install, repair and maintain all HVAC equipment, devices and parts including but not limited to: Refrigeration systems, Air conditioning units and Heaters
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate building codes and ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements as well as adhere to relevant legislation;
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on HVAC systems and devices;
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of HVAC equipment onsite;
  • Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats, cooling towers, etc.;
  • Monitor need for equipment maintenance and repair;
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service;
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments;
  • Provide general status reports as scheduled;
  • Prepare budgets;
  • Determine needed supplies and equipment;
  • Keep daily reports and;
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Valid 313A Provincial Refrigeration Technician License
  • Valid Provincial G1 or G2 Gas Technician License
  • Three (3) cumulative years of licensed work experience as an HVAC Technician
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of building systems
  • Ability to carry out sustained physical labour, stand for long periods of time, work with tools, and lift objects up to 50lbs
  • Demonstrate familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member
  • Ability to work varied schedule including days, evenings, overnights and weekends

Working Conditions

  • Work requires significant physical effort, walking (including stairs), and lifting heavy weights.
  • Work requires utilizing tools and equipment that could cause physical injury if not handled and operated following safety practices and procedures.
  • Required to follow WHMIS and provincial Health and Safety requirements.
  • This is a unionized position and subject to the terms of a Collective Agreement with the Ottawa-Carleton Public Employees Union, Local 503.

Audio Visual Technician - Part-Time

Location: Ottawa, ON

The A/V technician will ensure setup and tear down of broadcast A/V equipment and patching on live event days and provide support during live events for the Stadium, Arena and broadcasters.

What's the Role?

  • Work with various parties to ensure smooth setup of A/V systems before and during events
  • Ensure integration of Stadium and Arena systems with broadcast providers covering events
  • Ensure all A/V requirements for media covering Stadium and Arena events are provided
  • Provide hands-on game-day support for all in-house technical systems during events
  • Maintain effective working relationships with broadcasters, staff and venue production teams with a focus on excellent customer service and venue system technical expertise
  • Assist with general IT networking systems that integrate with A/V systems such as cisco stadium vision

  • 3-10 years of operational experience of A/V systems during a broad range of live events such as national sporting events, press conferences, concerts, corporate AV and other live entertainment
  • Advanced understanding and troubleshooting of complex A/V equipment and systems
  • Experience integrating A/V systems with broadcast media systems and streaming devices
  • Strong customer service abilities, work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work outside regular hours as needed which may include weekends and holidays as required by event schedule
  • Experience with QSC Q-SYS audio DSP system
  • General IT networking and computer skills are a strong asset
  • Professional knowledge of patching, cleaning and troubleshooting fiber optic equipment

  • Ability to operate complex digital audio mixing consoles and broadcast video switchers
