Senior Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Ottawa, ON

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will focus on providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring a high volume of transactions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare, verify and process invoices and coding payment documents
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
  • Data enter invoices for payment
  • Process backup reports after data entry
  • Manage the weekly cheque run
  • Assist with Cash Flow Management
  • Record all checks
  • Prepare vendor cheques for mailing and prepare manual cheques as required
  • Maintain listing of accounts payable
  • Prepare purchase orders for signature

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND Experience:

  • A degree or college diploma in Finance or Accounting
  • Must have at least five (5) years of direct accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of office administration and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Awareness of Generally Acceptable Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
  • Strong computer skills including comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience working with Microsoft Great-Plains is considered an asset
  • Strong ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent written communication and verbal skills
  • Highly organized with outstanding administrative and time management skills
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Audio Visual Technician - Part-Time

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

The A/V technician will ensure setup and tear down of A/V equipment and patching on live event days and provide support during live events within the Stadium and Arena.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various parties to ensure smooth setup of A/V systems before and during events
  • Ensure integration of Stadium and Arena systems with broadcast providers covering events
  • Ensure all A/V  requirements for media covering Stadium events are provided
  • Provide hands-on game-day support for all systems during events
  • Maintain effective working relationships with staff and venue organizers with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Assist with general IT networking systems that integrate with A/V systems

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Degree or diploma in relevant field or acceptable combination of skills and experience
  • 3-5 years of operational experience of A/V systems during a broad range of live events such as sports events, concerts, corporate and other live entertainment
  • Advanced understanding of A/V equipment and systems
  • Experience integrating A/V systems with broadcast media systems
  • Strong customer service attitude
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ability to work outside regular hours as needed which may include weekends and holidays as required by event schedule
  • Experience with QSYS audio systems an asset
  • General IT networking and computer skills are a strong asset

Conversion Crew

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Title: Conversion Crew – Team Member

Department: Stadium Operations

Number of Openings: Up to 15

Hourly rate: $14.75

Status: Seasonal Part-Time

Purpose
     
Reporting into TD Place Operations, you are a member of the conversion/changeover crew. Duties required converting the arena from hockey mode, to concert, or other event modes (and back) and converting the stadium from football mode to soccer mode, to concert or other event modes (and back). In addition, you will ensure that any event preparation/setup required for shows or sporting events are to run safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

Arena:
⦁    Converting arena for event set-ups as needed. 
⦁    Set up and tear down of materials for events like tables, flooring, stage, chairs etc. 
⦁    Assist other departments with arranging set-ups for event needs.
⦁    Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other PPE at all times required. 
⦁    Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment. 
⦁    Other duties as assigned.

Stadium:
⦁    Converting stadium for event set-ups as needed. 
⦁    Set up and tear down of materials for events like goal nets and posts, fencing, signage etc. 
⦁    Assist other departments with arranging set-ups for outdoor event needs.
⦁    Must wear CSA approved safety footwear and other PPE at all times required. 
⦁    Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment. 
⦁    Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Experience
⦁    Any labour experience is an asset.
⦁    MUST have CSA approved steel toe work boots. 
⦁    Ability to do heavy lifting and carry up to 50 pounds. 
⦁    Demonstrate familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment. 
⦁    Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member. 
⦁    Ability to work varied schedule including days, evenings, overnights and weekends.

Working Conditions
⦁    Work requires significant physical effort, walking (including stairs), and lifting heavy weights. 
⦁    Work requires utilizing tools and equipment that could cause physical injury if not handled and operated following safety practices and procedures. 
⦁    Required to follow WHMIS and provincial Health and Safety requirements.

Purpose

The Growth Hacker will assist in our 1:1 communication with users/fans, schedule content and push out across all OSEG platforms through a variety of software. 
  
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Dive into different situations and projects on a day-to-day basis while also focusing on driving engagement across all OSEG brands;
  • Being PASSIONATE about social media and engaging with users/fan;
  • Excellent knowledge across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin, Snapchat, Google, etc.);
  • Gather community insights and report them back to the team;
  • Ability to analyse data/metrics and create reports and provide feedback;

Athletic Therapy Internship

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

THE MANDATE

Reporting to the Head Athletic Therapist for the Ottawa Fury FC, the Intern will be supporting the Athletic Therapy team with all aspects of the athletic performance program. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The student will be responsible for daily functions such as:

Preparing equipment and treatment supplies;
Assisting with the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation; 
Shadowing procedures. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Current enrollment in a relevant post-graduate program of study within an academic institution (Health Sciences/Human Kinetics);
Clinical experience;
Experience with injury rehabilitation;
Experience with taping injuries;
Experience with assisted stretching;
Modalities relevant to pain or injury;
Relevant work experience;
Possess excellent organizational and problem solving skills;
Ability to communicate well with players and staff.                                                                                    

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada;
Willing and available to work some weekends and non-traditional hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting the Fitness Coach/Equipment Manager, the Intern will be responsible for daily functions such as:

  • The set up and breakdown of strength, activation, recovery and cool down sessions;
  • Sports administration responsibilities which include inventory, field equipment, laundry, etc. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-graduate program of study within a Canadian academic institution (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Sports Management, etc.);
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions;                                                                                    
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada;
  • Possess excellent organizational and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to communicate well with players and staff;
