Here Are the Top 10 Shows and Concerts That Took Place in The Arena at TD Place in 2019:

As 2019 comes to an end, it’s only natural to step back and reflect on all of the amazing things that this year has had to offer. This year The Arena at TD Place hosted tons of amazing talent spanning across multiple genres. TD Place has had the pleasure of hosting comedy shows, rock concerts, country acts, sporting events, theatrical productions, and so much more!

Trevor Noah | January, 2019

Trevor Noah is known around the world for his sharp sense of humor and he didn’t disappoint when he came to The Arena at TD Place last January!  Fans were full of laughs as he stole the show with his quick wit and comedic performance.

If you didn’t get the chance to see Trevor Noah when he was in Ottawa last, he will be returning to The Arena at TD Place with his Just for Laughs Show “Sorry not Sorry” on September 25th, 2020. Learn more about Trevor Noah’s return to the Arena at TD Place here.

Blue Man Group | February, 2019

The Blue Man Group promises to take fans through an immersive comedic experience that is incomparable to any other live performance and that’s exactly what fans at The Arena at TD Place got! The show was packed full of music, comedy, and exhilarating surprises; attendees laughed and partied during the entire performance!

Metric | April, 2019

Metric and July Talk tag teamed an awesome show at the Arena at TD Place last April. Both bands are known for their iconic high-energy performances and their shows at The Arena at TD Place were no exception!

Volleyball Nations League (VNL) | June, 2019

VNL took place over the course of multiple days last June in The Arena at TD Place, this event was a unique opportunity for sports fans to catch a few world-class volleyball games right here in Ottawa!

Volleyball Nations League will be returning to The Arena at TD Place June 2nd to 4th 2020 to host the women’s team which will face the Netherlands, Poland, and Japan. Learn more here.

Canada Basketball- FIBA | July, 2019

Last July, TD Place hosted the FIBA Basketball World Cup, giving basketball fans in Ottawa the opportunity to witness the showdown versus the U.S Virgin Islands right here in The Arena at TD Place!

This was an extremely unique event to Ottawa as basketball fans were able to see NBA players in their hometown!

World of Dance | October, 2019

World of Dance is the largest international dance competition focusing on the art of street dancing and today’s new aged choreography and last October, we had the privilege of hosting them at The Arena at TD Place!

The show consisted of performances by World of Dance Season 3 winners, The Kings, as well as Luka and Jenalyn, and Unity La. The performers exuded confidence and urged fans to dance along; this family-friendly show had fans jumping up out of their seats and joining in on the fun!

The Dead South | October, 2019

The Dead South brought their unique four-piece acoustic bluegrass set with numerous traditional musical instruments like the cello, the mandolin, the banjo, and the guitar to The Arena at TD Place last October and it was a show for the ages!

The band performed nostalgic hits paired with original and current songs which attributed to their unforgettable performance! In addition to their performance the band also capitalized on the show date being so close to Halloween by performing with intricate skeleton face makeup; connecting with the audience on a whole new level!

Comedy Night in Canada | November, 2019

Comedy Night in Canada was hosted by Rick Mercer and featured performances by Ivan Decker and Ali Hassan. This just for laughs show brought fans to their knees as they laughed hysterically to some of Canada’s best comedians!

Rock the Rink | November, 2019

Rock the Rink was an extremely high-energy show that was jam packed full of talented performers; Tessa Virtue, Scott Moir, Kaetlyn Osmond, Patrick Chan, Carolina Kostner, Elvis Stojko, Jeremy Abbott, Tatiana Volosozhar, and Maxim Trankov all rocked the rink with their unbelievable skating tricks and performances!

Rock the Rink was also one of Tessa and Scott’s final shows as an iconic Canadian figure skating duo; making this performance that much more memorable!

Champions of Magic | December, 2019

Champions of Magic was truly a unique experience. This show was comprised of multiple world-class illusionists; Young & Strange, Alex McAleer, Kayla Drescher, and Fernando Velasco. Each illusionist wowed the crowd with their magical talents that consisted of interactive magic, mind-blowing predictions, levitation, an impossible escape from Houdini’s water torture cell and so much more!

Champions of Magic was the first show of its kind at The Arena at TD Place and it definitely kept the entire crowd on the edge of their seats!
