OTTAWA FARMERS’ MARKET OPEN SUNDAY JUNE 7TH FOR PICK-UP ONLY.

Our Lansdowne Park Market will look a bit different this week , during the Ottawa farmers market, as we ensure the safest shopping experience possible.

Please read through the following carefully.

Our Lansdowne Market will be open for pick-up only as of Sunday, jUNE 7, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

To ensure the highest level of safety for all members of our farmers’ market community, this market will be operating as a Click and Collect market for the time being.

Market staff have been working closely with public health officials to create protocols to help make our markets the safest source of fresh, local food possible while we strive to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Ottawa.

These measures include:

  • – Limiting customer numbers within the market at any given time.
  • – Limiting the first hour to those aged 65+ and/or immunocompromised
  • – No transactions at the market, all goods are purchased in advance.
  • – Spaces between vendor’s booths.
  • – Hand sanitizer throughout the market.
  • – Physical distancing measures within the market square, and in areas where customers may wait.
  • – Sanitizing surfaces and tables frequently.
  • – No sampling of products.
  • – All food is take-out only. No eating within the market.
  • – No seating areas.
  • – No pets, only service animals.
  • – No musicians or buskers.

We ask that customers please respect these measures as they are designed to give you the safest shopping experience possible.

We ask that you please:

  • – Stay home if you are sick, or have been in contact with someone who is sick.
  • – Come to market prepared with a list of which vendors you are picking up orders from.
  • – Use the hand sanitizer provided.
  • – Shop one person per household, whenever possible.
  • – Leave your pets at home, only service animals.
  • – Maintain 2 meters distance between yourself and others at all times.

 

How to shop at our Click and Collect Market

To shop Click and Collect, customers will purchase products from individual vendors prior to market day. Since we need to limit the number of customers on site at any given time, we ask that you follow the steps below carefully. This will help to also reduce any waiting time once you arrive – no lining up!

  1. Start by selecting one time slot to pick up your orders by CLICKING HERE. Time slots are limited and will be available first come, first served.
  2. A confirmation email will be sent to you with a link to the vendor listing, including their individual online platforms for you to purchase from.
  3. Purchase from any of the vendors participating in that market day through their online platforms and ordering systems.
  4. Arrive at the market during your designated time slot to visit each vendor to pick up your orders.
