Your 2019 Guide to Pride

Ottawa’s Pride Week starts this Sunday! How are you celebrating?

1. Ottawa REDBLACKS Pride Game

We decided to start a little earlier this year, as we kick things off with our annual REDBLACKS Pride Game. Expect rainbow stickers on the players’ helmets, rainbow-coloured thundersticks, a slow smoked pulled pork sandwich with rainbow coleslaw and a flag presentation by TD Bank and Capital Pride.

When: August 17th at 4:00pm

2. Rainbow Paints and Lights

Spice up your Instagram with the colours of the rainbow! During the day, don’t forget to snap your photos on our painted crosswalk outside Gates 2 and 3 before the game. At night time, grab a pic of the lights!

When: All week long

Aberdeen Pavillion lit up with rainbow lights

3. TD Block Party

The TD Block Party is back! Fun performers, cold drinks and live music. Don’t miss this family-friendly event happening for FREE inside The Aberdeen Square.

When: Wednesday, August 21st from 6:00pm to 9:00pm

4. Ottawa Fury FC Pride Match

Cheer on Ottawa Fury FC with rainbow thundersticks, specialty warm up shirts (will be available at the Team Shop), a unique Pride display on the East hill behind the endzone and rainbow flags during opening ceremonies!

When: August 24th at 2:00pm

5. Pride Parade

Ottawa’s grand finale! Join us as we walk the Capital Pride Parade starting at 1:30pm at Bank and Gladstone. Enjoy music, performances, high energy and more!
