Ottawa Aces September Player Signings

It’s been a busy month as the Ottawa Aces have signed five new players to their inaugural squad for the 2021 season!

On September 2nd, The Aces added fullback Jack Johnson to the inaugural squad for the upcoming 2021 campaign from the Widnes Vikings.

Head coach Laurent Frayssinous states that he is “over the moon to sign a player of Jack Johnson’s calibre. Jack comes from a great system and he will add a lot to our squad with his experience, his speed and his trying scoring record and I am looking forward to seeing him around his teammates for the start of the new season.” Visit ACES website


On September 4th, The Aces added French front rower, Clément Boyer, to the inaugural squad for 2021.

“I am thrilled with Clément Boyer’s signing for the Aces in 2021. Clément has proved over the years all his abilities with Toulouse,” stated head coach Frayssinous. Visit ACES website


On September 9th, The Aces added former St. Helens & Workington Town centre/winger, Calvin Wellington, for the upcoming 2021 season.

Calvin says he is “privileged to get signed to the Ottawa Aces and embed a strong culture of Rugby League in Ottawa.” Visit ACES website


On September 16th, The Aces signed former U20 England Rugby Union international centre, Guy Armitage, from the London Broncos.

On September 23rd, The Ottawa Aces are pleased to announce the addition of second-row/loose forward Jake Moore from rival League 1 club, Whitehaven RLFC.

“Jake’s signing is very pleasing and a big coup for our club. He comes from a great system,” Head Coach Frayssinous stated. “Like most of our players, he is versatile and he will bring speed, power and size to the team.” Visit ACES website
