Ottawa’s First European-Style Christmas Market is Finally Starting. Here’s Everything You Need to Know!

If you’ve been searching for a fun and festive way to kick-off the holiday season, then you’re in luck! Ottawa’s first European- style Christmas Market is coming to the Casino Lac-Leamy Plaza at Lansdowne for four consecutive weekends starting with the lighting of the iconic Lansdowne Christmas tree this Friday at 6PM. The Market will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until December 22nd.

The all new Ottawa Christmas Market presented by TD Bank will be sure to fill you with Christmas cheer. This magical Christmas oasis will host over 20 unique vendors in traditional European-style cabins, holiday beverages and treats, talented performers, traditional holiday décor, thousands of sparkling lights, and more!

This event will be the perfect place to bring a date, or attend with friends and family!

   

The unique vendors will serve everything from seasonal treats to warm beverages that you can enjoy while perusing gifts and handcrafted items for your Christmas list.
Vendors that you can expect to see at the Christmas market include; “Not So Ugly Christmas Sweaters”, “Alpaca Tracks T(h)read Lightly”, “Tinkle Berries”, “Blusaffron”, “Lucky Clover Candles”, “True Northern Life”, “Made in Canada Gifts”, “Uptown Sox”, “Maker House Co.”, “Fine Chocolate by Ludwig”, “Farmaget Cider”, Dairy Distillery”, “Sunset Grill”, “Jack Astor’s”, “Jambel”, “Bread and Roses”, “Kenzie Cakes”, St. Alberts Cheese, and more!

In addition to indulging in seasonal treats and checking items off your Christmas list there will also be plenty of live entertainment. The festivities will kick-off with Juno award-winning, Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk as she performs her new album “Christmas is a Way of Life, My Dear” on the Casino Lac-Leamy Stage in the Plaza at 6:30PM on November 29th.

Multiple live performances will take place on the Casino Lac-Leamy Stage for the entire duration of the Christmas Market.

After you catch a show you can warm up by a fire pit or grab a cocktail at Blitzen’s with friends. If you’re looking for an activity that the whole family can enjoy, there will be Christmas movie screenings every Saturday afternoon at 4:30PM – even your dog is welcome!
