Over the course of the 2026 construction season, work will be ongoing at the following locations:

• Highway 417 Eastbound from Island Park to Kent Street
• Highway 417 Westbound from Kent Street to Island Park
• City streets approximately 50 m north and south of the highway
• Highway 417 Eastbound Lane 4 (rightmost lane) will be closed from Carling Avenue to the Rochester Avenue off-ramp during this period.
• Highway 417 eastbound and westbound temporary lane closures, Ramp closures and traffic staging will be in effect between Island Park Drive and Kent Street.

In addition to the ongoing lane closures on Bank Street, between May 19, 2026, and August 31, 2026, Riverside Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Data Centre Road and Neil Way (near Pleasant Park Road) to accommodate sewer and watermain replacement work along Riverside. Please also note that left turns will be prohibited in all directions at the Bank and Riverside intersection to help keep traffic moving.

Temporary road closures will be in effect on Saturday, September 12, 2026, for the NCC BikeNight event.

In addition to the regular Weekend Bikedays closures, the following roads will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:

• Queen Elizabeth Driveway (QED) from Laurier Avenue to Preston Street

• Colonel By Drive from Bronson Avenue to Daly Avenue

Additional traffic impacts include:

• The eastbound lane of Lakeside Avenue toward Bronson Avenue will be closed for the event and restricted to local traffic access only.

• The southbound curb lane on Bronson Avenue will be closed (single-lane closure only).

Please note that road closure operations may begin up to one hour before and continue for up to one hour after the event period. As such, motorists should anticipate closures and traffic impacts between approximately 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The westbound lane of Queen Elizabeth Driveway between Broadway Avenue and Torrington Place will remain open to provide resident access. Pretoria bridge will remain open to vehicles, event participants are to obey traffic signals.
